A colonnaded grape arbor

One end of the herb garden

My mother and I on a velvet green lawn,
bracketed by trees thick with lichen and moss

The herb garden

Moss, rusty despite the abundance of moisture it drank,
carpeted the trunks of the old limes

Red and yellow roses along a stone wall

Grey carp gasping for crumbs at the ruffled surface of the canal
